A Clear fireworks championships

So, back we are in August and this time it is going to be finally time to covert both of the fireworks this year in my plan,  Especially as it is time to finally get things pummelled and sure it will be late in getting up the vlog and blog post,  it also makes sense of finally getting more visits done before which then saves some time yet again.  I have no idea what  to expect apart from the fact I get to try to take it easy with something that happened the week before

The work for another day

So, as another wet day looked to be upon us, still recovering from my being stuck in the bath incident last Friday which ended up bruising some of the ribs on the right-hand side of me, it been a tight way to struggle to get the strain and pain in check since it was at some points, hurting to breath a bit and that might make the week ahead of me hectic. But getting up over a fap was a nicer charm which was earlier since I was expecting to get a bus but ended up getting a lift to work with mum since she had some work friend cat feeding down the road from home too, which was a nice posh place.

But then it was the drive to work and even when I got out of the car to the walk to work, it was a rain side of splitty rain to greet but they said it was going to be better for later on. Work itself was quiet and calm minus a lot of gossip and helping a temp new intern set up a grade 2016 Macbook.

But in the end with as few missed calls still to be made, still more of the last minute calls it was then to try to run to a customer near the lidl stop but for me, it was then time to get the vibe going and run. There were some pains as I took a deep breath, but I managed, and the heat from the jeans changing was starting to take its toll.

This then led to the visit and even then  I was chatting to another customer about another call the week before which had to clear some things up, but then I was ready for the visit by 5:42 and it was the case of being able to make sure of some strange wi-fi access and Realtek wi-fi is never the best. But by 19:40 I was finished and out of there with another WhatsApp to reply to.

The Run and Bus to the City

So this was the starting case of finally it was near 19:50 and I was on the bus since the bus was app according to the stagecoach app and I ran my way to lidl which was going to be the point of a busy journey out. I got on and paid the £2 fare, then it was off and time to vlog another night.

The bus as it gets past magpie

Then as the bus was getting towards Horrabridge, it was time to purchase the £5.10 ticket single home on the train, which was about the 23:15 mark so it will be make caining it to get an earlier time to the station to not miss the bus on this.   Then it was starting to get a bit more by the time we got to Yelverton. I mean for £2 it's ideal bus money.

As the route was near the city, it was getting busy when picking up with Derriford, it was getting toward as literally a double-decker bus full of people which means I was close to losing the seat to myself if it was any more when getting towards Crownhill, Like this was getting to the point of a near tight squeeze, especially as the sun was starting to set a bit since the sun was getting lower.  Which felt a bit nice but it was the end of the time of the longer nights, the end of summer is always feeling nigh about this time.  The 8:30pm onwards was feeling like sunset was near.

But then it was getting to move across and it was more of the time to try to type things across. But as it happens, free seats are gone and then it's making the typing a bit cramped but routes are like that these days. This happened by the flyover as well.  Eventually, it was nearing Mutley and the time to plan about getting off and starting from the Station again was going to be easier, since on top of of this, there was a footy match on Argyle which meant a bit less time for the bus back but in that end it felt like a reason I did not miss buses and liked the bike by myself route.

The City walk to the toilet then on

Alas our journey  on the bus ended which it was getting to shuffle between a fair bit of people and dealing with cars before it was time to head off and explore, my insides were not as feeling as they should have been, but it was more actually needing to go to the toilet, so my journey was to

  • Go to the casino to go to the toilet and maybe play blackjack
  • Head off to the display

We started that and it was time to act on it, so I walked off the bus and it was time to feel a little bit of a breeze it was a nice and clear sky though the signs of dusk were coming in.

As I was continuing, it was clear that I needed to go and the crowds were starting to ease off a bit more, plus when turning right by the sundial. That street was mostly empty, a bit of weed was being smelt and the like, but by then it was 20:50 so I better get my rocks off to get that so it was run and the ribs started feeling it. But it was not long until I finally got there.

I got in there and greeted the desk and it was time to hand over the rucksack then she swiped me in, I was then walking or pacing up the steps to get the chance to keep it up, and then I made my m way to the toilets after the bar, it was a lot of emptier feels in there, but its keeping up with some traditions too.

Eventually, I left there at about 9 and it was time to walk up to the home.  Which was not as crowded when going past Pizza Express as at first, but after the auditorium, it was time to take the narrow path then the right, then it was getting crowded as I turned left by the pub, which cars were driving up and a mixed pace of walkers and families were on the way up since this was the way to the disabled car park.

The road to the Car park

The Fair to pass and down to the rocks,

Now as I got to the car park, it was more fully fenced off, the night was coming in and the sky was losing the blue in a very summer sunset pace. But then as I passed the gates, it was the funfairs back. The crowds were more spread out but the rides were as popular as ever. I passed and saw new ones like No Limits, Terminator 3 and a surprise of no dodgems here this time. But after the waltzer, the promenade felt empty. Like hardly much out, well stalls-wise, people were crowding up but most were getting their viewpoints, and I walked my way down to the rocks to find mine.

After this, I was getting lost in crowds once I got to the Tower. So back I went around and then found the steps to get to the terrace café and then down to find the rocks, this was a bit more on the side of it was not as crowded as last year, but I managed to go a birther further to the right this time to find the place which even then a few golden age couples were behind me

The Displays

So it was then time to rest and make sure I was comfy, but due to the phone storage being nearly full, it was going to be tight to get all 3 recordings done, so it was going back to the tradition of using glass instead. But as hearing a bit of a blur on commentary. The fireworks display began with one of them and it was an ice colourful display and a few nice bangs to go with it, but will kid not, some prankster was starting to get some fireworks lit off from the other side of us which in turn if that wind was, could have gotten straight to the ones of the rocks.

But that was for the 10 minutes which eventually ended, which in my end was time to move a bit further forward for the second display, Which the rocks were a bit steep and almost lost the ikea usb type C to A Cable in the sea.  Since it was easier to get a better view. This one was a bit tamer but had more colour shapes and experiences with it which felt a nice calm flow to it, But at this time son people were lighting more fireworks one fell into the sea near some people were in the water this time night, like that is a risk I’m not ready to die for yet.

Then it was time for the final display and some base was going on, it was much easier to rest up but still had the nerves of the cables or phone dropping in the sea which was close to being that way. But this display was getting a bit better and had some incredible bangs in the end.

The Walk back to the station

So it was then 10:30, time was ending and it was going to be a half hour before 11 and the train was leaving at 11:16, so there was some time, but as it goes, the crowds are always hectic and blocked in the crammed path when going on armada way which I planned to side step it so I would avoid that crowd. Before that was the first time to took a nice picture of the Moon, especially with the boats and the water reflection of the ocean looking lovely.

Then it was time to pack up the rucksack which was the crawl and not to slip on the rocks to get back to the walkway to then make my way up to the Main Hoe to then walk my way back. The crowds were slowly dispersing and the commentary on the fireworks and talking about tomorrow which was my hope, but I realised it was not meant to be.

The view of the fair on the hoe

As I passed the hoe with the Fair, the crows were slowly starting to full out and most going down the main path,  but I went to the right-hand side and the other side of the hotel on the home, which went across the mini pitch and putt course as well. I started to run and the sides were starting to hurt as well, but then it was getting past the courthouse and eventually back to the sundial where some guys thought I was talking to them while instead I was filming.

Then I managed to keep going but by the bus stop road, I turned right to then turned left to the walkthrough hand alley to get to Tesco and rushed to find a cheap bottle which I went for a nice bottle of Flavoured water for £0.40 and then got that paid before walking out just as Tesco was closing at dead on 11 pm.

The train ride home

As I walked nearer to the station, the crowds were getting clammed in and I was able to pass by, but with the majority turning left, I stayed on the same path and went the car route to the station which was much easier for me and hardly many people, then I managed to get in and the barriers were open so no ticket to scan across, which then I got on, but even that was having to find a nice space on the train but it was an airline seat and facing backwards but that was the only seat with a window I could find to be fair. But then we were off 1 minute early and I sipped that water.

The Station

As the train carried on, typing was ok but again I did not bring a charger with me so it was on like 30% battery for most of the way back, since the surface was not charged since the day was hectic at work. But I managed to get some bits typed up and WhatsApp Mum to say I was on my way home.

The Selfie when leaving

Eventually, it was nearing Bere Alston and it was getting a bit less crowded so it was the other side of the carriage to then get a nice table to myself to continue typing up, which felt weird since the journey flew by and was easily ending up back home or at the station dead on midnight. Then ending the vlog and watching the train head back, makes me want to take the last train out for when I go on holiday or if that happens this year.

The road after the station

Then it was a nice mixed meal to get home with, especially eating thing until 1am at night since cravings.

The toasted sandwich, pretzels, crisps, scone and sauces

And there we have it, thanks for joining me on this one it will be the last one for summer before September kicks in to be fair the next month ahead might be full of gossip and was close to the repeats of last year but that will be told soon.  PLUS I’ll FIND TME FOR A Q&A soon.

Take care
