Tavistock Goose Fair - A Summer Sky Finale (Saturday 12th October)

Well this was the time, it was the finale for Goose Fair, which in itself was actually quite peaceful but it was a busy time. So it was time to get work done then it was time to explore the fair.  Which then time to head off for a client afterwards.

WORK

So it was the cycle in for the morning which was going to be the busy day due to a few clients and catching up with some of the overdue bits of jobs to go through. But then it was also making sure to close at 3:30pm due to a customer's 90th party to go back to which I had to try to make sure not to forget. But then one after another after another EVEN AFTER more posters in the shop to say closed at 3:30pm but that another customer came in which was a regular so that caused a delay. Then 2 more kids came in which i said to pop back mid next week which they did not in the hindsight. But then by 4 ish I was gone and it was time to rush off to the Bedford.

The 90th

So I was heading off, the shop was locked and the sky was clear and optimism was high. But I got into the reception to then be able to manage to find the right room. I had to aske the bartender to find it, It was the portrait room. I got in and greeted all the customers family and then got told to help out with getting some food on the plate. Some lovely food from Duck and Ham wraps, sausages rolls, pasties and of course there was a higher chocolate cake to go with this as well. But then chatting and time passed with some messages to then say my goodbyes after being told to pack a bag of the food up to take home. Well for me home was going to the fair then to another client, by 5pm I was on my way to the Fair.

The Fair.

Well it was warm heat and the fair has so much of the same, some new stalls moved in and Freak out has left, But it was nice to see the fair in the sun for a change. IT felt even warmer than August to be honest. But nothing interesting happened, I was tempted to get some Donuts but I had a full rucksack already on that part for it.

Then it was to finally get to the bike and sort the next part of the journey.

The cycle to Horrabridge

I got to the bike rack then made my way to Horrabridge, pasin the back road and getting up by warrens cross, the sun was strong and it was then the passing over the moors. It felt cam but the fair was still a bit of hearing in the clear sky. But then i got onto the road and down the lane to my amazement. But then i got into the village and then time to visit the client.

I then got that finished and it was a cycle home in the dark, so that was a calm way to go for it,

So that was that and then it was the end of this week.

Take care and more posts sooon
