Tavistock Goose Fair 2022 - Is Back the night before

Well, this is a well-received bit of life traditions again, with 3 years passing since the previous Goose Fair and its fun stalls, fast food and chill Indian summer vibes for some of the years, it feels nice to finally return to it. With the pandemic's effects now well and truly not causing change to normal life, for the most part, it was the time to really see how things go on. Enjoy the vlog of the Night before below:

A Getup and Go morning.

So it the Tuesday morning, the sky was fresh, the frost for the first time was on the ground in the new place and it was to finally deal with how things will work out on this occasion now that distance makes it a factor, something I've not had to deal with for many years, heck back in the #crappycityplym days. But I was up by about 8:05am and starting to get a nice kettle sorted, my first Gfuel teaspoon out of nearly 5 or so on this day and then it was time to get a shave sorted for this day to actually start.

We ended up leaving in the care around 8:34 and then got dropped off from mum's work around the 8:50 mark, which then it was already showing it was going to be the fair building up in preparation, especially with the guildhall having a bigger carpark so more could end up built there, plus there were rumours of a No limit ride to debut in the UK this year....

As I walked my way to work, I. knew things were going to be busy, phones were going to be brought, a PC to actually take apart and of course Emails to sort out but this was not going to be the case or so I found out.

Work as usual.

So it ended up one customer taking time but this was more my rushing causing an iCloud photo library mishap when all I NEEDED to do was just delete an iPAd backup that was rested to a new iPad only days before this, with some jokes about people waiting outside Monday which even then was a cancellation of one visit leading to 2 other visits.

From more emails and No mans's Sky banners put up for a photo shoot (was some last week but the rain melted it literally away overnight)

POS up

But then it was a friend of mine spending the rest of the day with me and it was ending up realised in told that I NEED time off which apparently I was not getting things done for me but there are still consequences with time off. Like an Ipad that was asked to be sorted urgently BUT was clearly told might not be ready until the end of the week or next week depending on if I get editing done, Which then being told to silence other people and lie about a legit disability is not a good sign to be dealing with. But I did get a sausage roll out of it along with an oreo doughnut.

The sausage roll and donut

But then talking asked for a potential holiday to actually just guardian a friend so he could see his crush (which hits me in the feels from 3 years ago and knowing that end of last was sign I was going t have to move on with someone that meant the world to me during the pandemic 2 years) it makes me realise maybe I should do that week off with him to then go up to the surrey area, sure one girl I've skyped this year was nearby but its a lot of complications.

Either way, it was 5:15 or so and I was on my way to a visit of a Macbook which crashes during an update and safe mode sorted it out, Then more bits with telegram and it was then finally time to finish JUST as the buses were ending so it meant time to finally explore.

The Explore of the Fair and Sqaure

So, I started to walk down from the customer's house to then make my way past the bus station and straight away the first change of new rides such as a Twister with aLOT of neon LEDs and also a horror Funhouse was there instead of bouncy castles this time,

Then I made my way on the main road which was getting built up with stalls already, with the skies starting to darken up for sure.

and so I decided to cross and then make my way to the main opening part of the Car park, which was first noticed of the right-hand side was NOT used again which is fair since of hard times ahead but the right layout was a fair bit different with some rides not returning snd some having some face paints of a new look for sure. Waltzers is the clear one that would in this case be a new look.

But then it was to explore the stalls being set up which was the walk on the back path by the river to get to it, there were actually all empty bits and vans were getting parked up for this big event, which I then decided to see what was going to stay or arrive.

Stalls, food vans and shops,

Then it was the fact of exploring that bit more before it was time to head off back home, which this case was to end up running back to the roundabout near the old house, but it did give a chance to walk my way on the main road before getting up the monksmead part and that temptation to run the canal path but that was for another day soon.

The Food zone

As I ran past monksmead and up the hill, since it was the wait for a lift after texting, IT was time to see what Night mode on Google Camera could really do, and well it does show some amazing result

But Alas it was then time to run to the stop and wait at the roundabout for that lift. All getting too common and makes me REALLY need to sort the fucking e-bike out from a battery that SHOULD be working.

Waiting for the car

But then it was back home and a bit of a rush to really get going the fact of getting that vlog up before Wednesday and being up until 4am. But getting home and seeing the fair lights shine from across the border is a nice aspect.

But then it will be seen how it goes for now and the big day beings.

see you then.
